You have happened upon my website which will chronicle my entry into retirement. I taught at Alexander Central High School for 29 years and retired July 1, 2018. I look forward to what this next chapter of my life will hold.
Since my retirement, I have spent plenty of time in my recliner, but I have also been busy homeschooling my oldest son Gavin. This is in preparation for the next major challenge in our lives, the Appalachian Trail. We will set out from Springer Mtn., GA on February 24 with the goal of hiking 2,198 miles northward to Mt. Katahdin, ME. We expect the trip to take about 6 months.
After the hike, I look forward to working around the house on a plethora of projects that have gone unattended in recent years. I am also considering taking on a class or two at the community college to supplement my retirement income. I appreciate your interest in this blog. I hope that my entries prove to be entertaining and enjoyable for you!
